SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS

The Attleboro Scholarship Foundation efficiently administers many of the scholarships awarded to the college bound students in the community, which are designed to help students defray the cost of higher education. These scholarships are provided by local companies, organizations and individuals. View our Scholarship Listing for the description of individual scholarships.

General Scholarship Application – Use this application to apply for all of the other available scholarships that do not have a separate application. See complete listing.

INDIVIDUAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS

The Attleboro Scholarship Foundation administers numerous scholarships. Call for applications for the following scholarships. The deadline for all scholarship applications to reach our office is April 1st, unless otherwise noted.

For Graduating High School Seniors

Attleboro White Hawks Memorial Book Award – For student boy/girl who has completed at least one year with the former S. Attleboro White Hawks Youth Football or former Attleboro Eagles Pop Warner League as a football player or cheerleader.

Blue Pride Gridiron Club – Graduating AHS senior who has exhibited “Blue Pride” in school and the community.

Blue Pride Ambassadors Club – Graduating AHS senior who was a member of the football team and displayed pride, leadership and dedication on and off the field.

Curtis Stanley Gallup Memorial Scholarship – Graduating high school senior from AHS or BFHS who as overcome difficult odds to succeed.

Emmett Larkin Memorial Scholarship – Graduating high school senior who resides in Attleboro and attends AHS or BFHS. Member of the baseball team and played minimum of 6 years Attleboro Youth Baseball League.

Falls A/C – Golf League Scholarship – Graduating high school seniors from AHS and NAHS. Preference given to a golf team member.

Hebronville Community Association Scholarship – Must reside in Hebronville section in Attleboro.

Lloyd G. Balfour Foundation Service Scholarship – National Honor Society Member and service to school and community.

Lynn C. Goodchild Memorial Scholarship – For a student planning to continue his/her education in the business field.

Nick Vero Memorial Scholarship – Preference given to an AHS senior who has overcome extenuating circumstances to succeed.

Professional Firefighters of Attleboro Local 848 Scholarship – Application is open to graduating high school seniors from AHS, BFHS and family members of an Attleboro Firefighter from any school.

Rotary Service Scholarship – Graduating high school senior from AHS who resides in Attleboro. Community and school service will be considered.

Royal Baker Scholarship – Applicant must reside in Attleboro and be accepted into a full-time graduate degree program.

William Bergevine Memorial – Open to high school senior from AHS or BFHS who has contributed to the community.

LLOYD G. BALFOUR FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM (BANK OF AMERICA – TRUSTEES)

EMPLOYEE PROGRAM

Application is open to children and grandchildren of the former Balfour Company.

CRITERIA:

PARENT STILL EMPLOYED by the Balfour Company when the Attleboro Plant closed in 1996: Parent must have been hired prior to OCTOBER 5, 1983.

PARENT NOT EMPLOYED by the Balfour Company when the Attleboro Plant closed in 1996: Parent must have been working for the company on July 12, 1973.

GRANDPARENT must have been hired by the Balfour Company prior to July 12, 1973.

Employment dates will be verified. Please contact Attleboro Scholarship Foundation for an application.

ATTLEBORO PROGRAM

Scholarship support for Attleboro students – based on financial need.

L.G. BALFOUR SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP

Graduating Attleboro High School Senior – service to school and community – National Honor Society member.

ATTLEBORO AREA FOOTBALL HALL OF FAME SCHOLARSHIPS

For graduating High School seniors of Attleboro High School, Bishop Feehan High School and North Attleboro High School who have participated in their school’s football program.

THE LLOYD G. BALFOUR FOUNDATION PROVIDES $410,000.00 IN YEARLY SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT FOR STUDENTS IN THE ATTLEBORO AREA.

CREATE A NEW SCHOLARSHIP FUND …

Do you have an upcoming class reunion? Maybe your classmates would like to establish a scholarship for your class.

Do you have someone in your life that you would like to establish a memorial scholarship for? ” In lieu of flowers” is one way to begin a scholarship fund.
